Job Details

The Laborer will perform various duties on the farm, planting, watering, weeding and harvesting as well as minor small scale construction/carpentry work as needed. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, communicate thoroughly and understand the importance of following safety procedures. This is a brand new farm with lots of room to grow and expand over the next 5 years.
Duties Include: Manage rodents and other pests by setting traps
Water crops as needed
Fertilize/mulch as needed
Train hop vines to grow up trellis
Monitor hop vines for disease
Assist with planting and harvesting a variety of crops
Weed as needed
Perform general labor outdoors and move heavy loads as needed
Communicate with farm manager for any farming needs
Operating and servicing small equipment that may have to be serviced in the field on short notice
Monitor the temperature in the hoop house and make any adjustments needed to keep the temperature within range
Install basic irrigation systems
Basic carpentry work on occasion
Take readings and enter data into a spreadsheet to monitor water, temperature, etc.
Take photos daily and upload them to a shared drive #J-18808-Ljbffr
