The Accounting Division processes all non-grant claim payments such as service agreements, purchase orders, utilities, and other miscellaneous invoices. The division also performs all reconciliations of appropriations and cash transactions and is responsible for submission of Year-End Financial Statements to the State Controller's Office (SCO).

Under the general direction of the Accounting Administrator I (Supervisor), this position resides within the General Ledger Team and performs all reconciliations for appropriations and cash transactions using the procedures of the State of California, policies, rules, and regulations of the Legislature, State Controller, State Treasurer, and Department of Finance. This position is the journeyman level in the Accounting series and requires the incumbent to use higher level analytical skills to prepare the complex and difficult reconciliations. Prepare any Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) adjustments in compliance with Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) and Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) 54 requirements.

Working Conditions

Telework : This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule which includes up to two days of remote work per week. Additional in-office days may be required based on the business need.
