As a Financial Aid/Veterans Assistant II, you'll be a trusted guide for students and families, helping them navigate the financial aid process, understand their eligibility for grants, scholarships, loans, and work-study opportunities, and access the resources they need to succeed.
Working closely with the Financial Aid and Veterans Services team, Communities of Interest Success Teams, and other campus departments, you'll provide targeted outreach, present at student orientations, lead application workshops, and deliver personalized assistance. This front-line, student-focused role blends customer service, problem-solving, and community engagement to ensure equitable access to higher education.

Work Schedule
This position works primarily at the Main Campus but could be scheduled to work at the Chico or Glenn Centers as needed. Working hours will be Monday through Thursday 7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.; Summer hours will be Monday through Thursday 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. If scheduled at the Chico or Glenn Center, Monday through Thursday hours would be 8:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. May include nights and weekends as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduation from high school, G.E.D. or the equivalent*; AND
- Two (2) years of experience closely related to the duties and responsibilities of this class.
* High School education equivalency equals an adult education diploma or four (4) years of full-time, paid work experience.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
- The successful applicant will be required to complete a medical history questionnaire and must agree to undergo and pass a pre-employment physical examination, based on the physical requirements of the position, prior to employment.
