Typical Day Responsibilities: - Warm Reception: Receive incoming telephone calls with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
- Initial Triage: Assess and direct calls based on caller needs.
- Resource Connection: Provide information, empathetic listening, and connect callers to community resources.
- Call Transfers: Forward calls to Access Specialists for additional clinical screening as needed.
- Partner Assistance: Support community partners like hospitals, jails, and other human service organizations calling on behalf of individuals.
- Operational Support: Organize and assist with call queue monitoring, data entry, client record documentation, and other clerical tasks to ensure efficient access center operations.
Qualifications: - Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, professional counseling, nursing, or a related human services/healthcare field.
- Relevant Experience: 2 years' experience in behavioral health or substance use.
- Skills: Strong ability to navigate complex service delivery systems.
- Flexibility: Willingness to meet obligations outside of normal business hours.
